Rachel Madan helps executive leaders to dramatically accelerate the implementation of new services. She helps organizations to go from ideas and ambitions to impact and results. Rachel has worked with the some of the world’s top organizations and businesses to dramatically improve the return on innovations such as sustainability and corporate responsibility.
Rachel’s experience in strategy development and implementation crosses multiple sectors. As director of Greener Museums, Rachel worked with over 35 museums including Tate and National Museums Liverpool to deliver over $900,000 in savings and an additional $1,000,000 in social, economic and environmental value. In London, Rachel’s work included advising companies such as Marks and Spencer, Clifford Chance and 3i on communicating and understanding their environmental and social impacts. Before her transition to the private sector, Rachel worked as an Environmental Protection Specialist for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Leaders Program and as an Industrial Program Associate for Washington DC-based NGO the Alliance to Save Energy, working with companies such as 3M, Staples and United Technologies to identify and implement opportunities created by climate change risk.
Rachel is also a speaker and author. Her publications include numerous articles, chapters and a book developed specifically for the cultural sector, Sustainable Museums: Strategies for the 21st Century. Rachel’s speaking engagements include keynotes in the USA, UK, Ireland, and Sweden.
Rachel is a trained coach and facilitator, and has degrees from the University of Rochester and the London School of Economics.
